I dropped the blank order check back on the hostess' desk, where she was chatting with a waitress.and was never asked if there was a problem. Within 30 seconds of their seating the waitress was at their table, and frankly, that did it as far as I was concerned and said 'We're out of here!'. We thought we'd wait another few minutes (it had now been going on 8-10) when a family came in. Several passed right by our table, one even stopped to check on the booth across from us.but still no service. Alas, it was not to be, for no one once stopped. We sat for quite sometime awaiting one of the several waitresses to come and inquire about a drink order before we would head to the buffet. Rather than 'take the hint', and offer us another seat, the hostess flippantly remarked 'I like the sun.' as she tossed the ordering check onto the table and left. We both commented, aloud, how bright the spot was and how we'll need our sunglasses for comfort. On entering we were led to a booth where the sun was beating in on the table with no shades available to reduce the glare.
It is your typical Chinese-buffet style restaurant with a bit more flair than some. This is a brand new restaurant in Plattsburgh, and after a day of post-holiday shopping, my sister and I decided to give it a try for lunch.
